Group from the street that was baptised

1.      We baptised 6 of the youth at risk that are living on the street. All our spiritual teaching and guidance is from the Bible and all our leadership comes from CRC, Christian Revival Church Cape Town, as TLC falls under the wing of the church.

Baptism in the Ocean

1.      With all the excitement going on in the streets we are still sharing the gospel to all and everyone that lives on the street. If they are willing to accept God as their Lord and saviour then they are baptised with water.

Over the Christmas period

Christmas and New Year is such an awesome and festive time all around the world including on our local streets. It is a time FOR tourists from all over the world that come and visit our beautiful country. This is a time when if you were once living on the street and returned for the festive period to visit friends and family you could get lost in the festivities and find it hard to return to your place of employment. I would like to congratulate all 5 guys that decided to join the local church, CRC Cape Town, attend the TLC Independant Living Plan for 6 months and then to go onto a permanent job. Guys, from TLC Street Ministries we would like to say well done to everone of you for returning back to your places of employment and for completing your first year off the streets. Be blessed guys we are so proud of you.

Sharing a few stories before heading back to the streets

1.      It is always exciting to see the guys when they get together on the streets and show off their latest items which they have found

Some fun time for photos

1.      Taking photos on the street is something the guys and gals totally enjoy; it’s all about seeing themselves in the photo as there are no mirrors in their lives. We take such small everyday things for granted

1.      As we eat certain meals at certain times the guys on the street have to take their meal times when they can get it. Sharing a loaf of bread and a cold drink on the grass pavement is a better time than ever

Ministring to the guys living on the streets

1.      Going on to the streets is always exiting for the team as we will always find or learn something new on the streets. The conditions are not always inviting as on the West Coast the weather could be cold, very windy, raining or all three. Just as the street is addictive to the people living on it so is it addictive to us to have to be on there to support the guys

Street Body Boarders

1.      As part of one of the programmes held by public sponsors our guys had the opportunity to learn how to ride the waves on boogie boards at Blouberg Beach-Big Bay
